The Campus Safety department oversees all digital key access for the University, which includes programming and distribution. To request digital key access, please refer to the following guidelines:

  • To ensure requests are handled in the order they are received, please request digital keys by submitting a work order to help@laverne.edu.
  • Digital key requests may only be made by a supervisor.
  • Digital keys will be available for pick up from the Campus Safety office Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Keys may only be picked up by the individual to whom the key was assigned, and a University ID and signature are required prior to keys being distributed.

If you currently have a digital key assigned to you, please remember the following:

  • Never lend or give your key to another employee or student worker. Doing so may result in a security breach.
  • If you are terminating your employment with the University, you must surrender your key to Human Resources or to your supervisor. Do not pass your key to your replacement or to another employee.
  • If you have transferred digital key ownership to another individual, report the transfer to Laura Avalos (lavalos@laverne.edu), or have your supervisor submit a work order requesting a name change and reassignment. Until the key is re-assigned, you will be responsible for any access performed by that key.

Physical key access is overseen by Physical Access and Life Safety Systems (PALSS). Please contact Mary-Anne Biscan(mbiscan@laverne.edu) at x4635 for information.
