The Campus Safety Department performs daily locking and unlocking procedures throughout the campus and provides building access as requested. Should you need access to a building or office, please call 909-448-4950 or x4950 from any campus phone and provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • The reason you are requesting access
  • The time you require access (you must be present on campus)

Campus Safety cannot provide access to private offices without the permission of the office resident. Campus Saferty does not provide access to any dorm room unless approved by the Housing Director.

For access to the following locations in SSAP, Monday through Friday during regular business hours, please contact the Athletics Department:

  • Athletic Training Rooms
  • Men's and Women's Team Locker Rooms
  • Laundry Room

Access to the following locations needed to be refer to events:

  • Executive Dining Room (EDR)
  • Morgan Auditorium
  • Howell Board Room
  • Hanawalt House need

Auto Jump Starts Auto Jump Starts


Our department has a portable power source and is happy to assist students, faculty or staff whose vehicle has a dead or low battery. Call 448-4950 or x4950 from any campus phone for help.

When you call for assistance, please provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your vehicle's location
  • Make, model and color of vehicle

Please open the hood of your vehicle to make it easier to identify.

Digital Keys Digital Keys


The Campus Safety department oversees all digital key access for the University, which includes programming and distribution. To request digital key access, please refer to the following guidelines:

  • To ensure requests are handled in the order they are received, please request digital keys by submitting a work order to
  • Digital key requests may only be made by a supervisor.
  • Digital keys will be available for pick up from the Campus Safety office Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Keys may only be picked up by the individual to whom the key was assigned, and a University ID and signature are required prior to keys being distributed.

If you currently have a digital key assigned to you, please remember the following:

  • Never lend or give your key to another employee or student worker. Doing so may result in a security breach.
  • If you are terminating your employment with the University, you must surrender your key to Human Resources or to your supervisor. Do not pass your key to your replacement or to another employee.
  • If you have transferred digital key ownership to another individual, report the transfer to Laura Avalos (, or have your supervisor submit a work order requesting a name change and reassignment. Until the key is re-assigned, you will be responsible for any access performed by that key.

Physical key access is overseen by Physical Access and Life Safety Systems (PALSS). Please contact Mary-Anne Biscan( at x4635 for information.

Lost and Found Lost and Found


University of La Verne Lost and Found is located in the Campus Safety office and is open 24/7. If you have a found item you would like to turn in, or are looking for a lost item, please visit our front desk. 

To retrieve a lost and found item you will need to show a form of ID.

Safety Escorts Safety Escorts


The Campus Safety Department offers health and safety escorts on campus 24/7. Please call 909-448-4950 or x4950 from any campus phone to request an escort.

Escorts may be provided for a variety of reasons:

  • Transport for those who feel unsafe walking alone at night
  • Assistance for those carrying large bundles or supplies
  • Transport to the Health Center for those feeling unwell
  • Transport for students or staff with a temporary or permanent physical handicap

Campus Safety Officers may only transport passengers from one campus location to another.
