The CTL is happy to offer a variety of workshops, certifications, and consultation services to the entire University. We are always looking to provide the most up-to-date and applicable training for our faculty. Please visit our Services page or Events page to see what workshops are coming up and when we will be on a campus near you.
The University is pleased of offer many tools that support the teaching and learning process. Two current tools that are being utilized across the campus are Digication and Qualtrics. We encourage you to look over these tools and think about how they may apply to your research or teaching practices. Keep visiting our page to see other tools that will be featured in the future.
Please also feel free to look at our CTL Online Organization in Blackbaord for a wide range of resources available for teaching here at the University of La Verne.
Are you preparing to teach online? Or have you been teaching online for awhile and are seeking to improve or strengthen your skills? This course will introduce you to effective practices in online instruction. Building on a solid understanding of distance education policies and procedures, you will actively create and build an effectively designed online learning unit, maximize student success, develop online policies, identify the functions of a course management system, explore dynamic online content options, evaluate online assessments, and successfully apply copyright and fair use practices to digital content.
Please keep in mind you will get the full experinece of a fully online course over an 8-week period and that does include a 5 to 10 hour work commitment during that time. We are able to work with you but it is important to walk in with the time commitment in mind.
Please check back for changes and future dates.
CTL is proud to maintain Digication's ePortfolio for the university. An immersive content management system available to the entire La Verne community, ePortfolio allows students a reflective online space and faculty a tangible benchmark for student learning.
