University of La Verne, through its Office of Risk Management and Transportation and Parking Services, requires driver certification and training requirements when operating University-owned or leased vehicles. The following links are provided to assist our campus community members in completing those necessary training programs and/or to re-certify their authorized driver status.
For additional information please call Alex Soto, Director of Risk Management at 909-448-4516 or Lisa Grater, Manager of Transportation and Parking Services at (909) 448-4725.
All persons who wish to drive University vehicles must submit a Driver Authorization Request Form to Transportation and Parking Services. It takes a minimum of 48 hours to process a driver authorization request for new drivers: each new driver must be cleared and authorized to drive University Vehicles. If you are not sure whether a driver has been cleared or not, contact Transportation and Parking Services at 909-448-4725.
Please complete and submit a Driver Authorization Request Form to Transportation & Parking Services to become an authorized driver, then complete the online training by clicking on a link below. After receipt of your request form and completion of the online training, a motor vehicle report will be run to determine your eligibility and you will be notified when you are cleared to drive University vehicles. Cart training will also include behind the wheel instruction.
The cart path map is available here.
